Question ID# - 111
Megan
Home for winter break and poking around my parents' closets, I came across an Ike jacket that smells a little musty but is otherwise in great condition. Unfortunately, I can't find information anywhere on how to clean it. Does it have to be dry-cleaned or can I do it at home? Thanks!
Janet:
Eisenhower popularized the jacket he wore during WW11 to such an extent that civilian clothing mimicked the look. Army issue was usually serge or wool flannel, so you should have it dry-cleaned by a professional...it will be a great addition to your wardrobe!
