Lohren
Janet, I have been a member of the Fashion community for 10 year. I know the value of quality clothing. What basic advice would you give to someone who wants to open a vintage shop?
Janet:
I asked Ellen Christine, owner of the Ellen Christine Millinery shop in New York, her advice for a new vintage shop owner. "Lohren should have lots of inventory to open, and then buy according to her customer
requests. Your customer base is your most valued tool... they'll buy what
they like, and what you advise, once they realize your sense of style and value your
opinion. Accessories are too important to ignore. With a great base of
clothing, some coats, lots of jackets, and tons of accessories, you can open
anywhere and make a splash." Good luck!
