 I have just bought two vintage sweaters with heavy beading on them. I don't trust our dry cleaners around the area, what do I do? They are mixes of angora and cashmere. How do I care for these beautiful works of art?

Look for a theatrical dry cleaner in your area or one who regularly deals with bridal gowns. You can also contact the Neighborhood Cleaning Association, ncaiclean@aol.com, and ask them to refer a dry cleaner in your area who specializes in cleaning vintage items. Ellen Christine recommends that you first clean the sweaters (bugs are attracted to dirt) and then store them rolled up in muslin pillow cases.
