I've been asked to find authentic Jefferson shirts for a friend. They are in a reenactment group and gung ho for the real thing! Where can I order these shirts?

I forwarded this request to FashionDig's Costume Authority Ellen Christine Lugo. Here's her reply... I currently have three shirts, $350 each, that are hand sewn, all different, with slightly varying patterns, late 18th, early 19th century. They are very lightweight, fine linen, therefore rarer than the heavier, work-a-day style. These shirts are finely executed and beautifully preserved. I could take the measurements, but that wouldn't give us a body idea...we need to measure the gentleman's armscye (around the shoulder joint) as well as the neck at the base, and the chest (with the lungs full), shoulders, length of torso from neck to waist and the arm length. These shirts are built on a rectangular pattern base, and do not take into account the bulk of the contemporary figure. Send us the measurements and we'll be happy to compare them to our pieces. We could also reproduce one or all of them in any fabric desired, any size, in our shop.
