Steph
I am in charge of costumes for a version of the play "Sabrina Fair". It is set in the 1930s and I am having a little difficulty in finding styles suitable for wealthy men of that era.
Janet:
Most conservative, wealthy men of the 1930s were considered the idle elite and wore different outfits for every occasion of the day...morning clothes consisted of a Harris tweed overcoat, black jacket, cuffed trousers, colored ties, felt hat and umbrella or cane. Afternoon dress was typically a black overcoat, white shirt, starched collar, cuffed pants and Bowler.
