What are the different hairstyles of the 1970s?
The "Me Decade" produced style elements in fashion and hair that ran the gamut from Punk to nostalgia. The Sub-culture Skinheads and Glam-Rock performers wore spiky hair, Punk girls wore "feather" haircuts, cropped on top with wispy tufts around the face and neck. Afros and "Rooster" haircuts were worn by music legends the Jacksons and Rod Stewart. But I think the most enduring hairstyle of the 70s was long, blond, feathered and all-American, worn with a smile by Farrah Fawcett.
