Question : I'd like to have my own domain name that goes directly to my FASHIONDIG Shop when typed into the browser. How do I go about doing that?
Answer : You can redirect/point your personal domain name to your FASHIONDIG Shop. There are two options.
1. Check with your domain registrar and see if they have a domain forwarding service. If so, follow their online instructions and enter the direct link to your FASHIONDIG Shop in the space where they request the domain to be forwarded. If they do not offer this service then follow the procedures in this next option.
2. First, you must register and pay for your domain name with a domain registry service such as Network Solutions. When registering you must provide the following DNS and Technical Contact information.
Name server 1: NS1.OBJECTCULTURE.COM
Name server 2: NS2.OBJECTCULTURE.COM
Technical Contact NIC Handle: BB7078
After your domain name is registered and you have submitted the DNS and Technical Contact information to the domain registrar, you must contact us and let us know that your domain registration is complete. Please provide your FASHIONDIG Shop Name and your registered Domain Name in your message. We will then configure the FASHIONDIG servers to redirect your domain to your shop page. There is a one-time setup fee of $25 for this service from FASHIONDIG. The redirect usually occurs within 48-72 hours of the setup. The $25 setup fee will be charged to your credit card on file.
Please note that you should direct any questions regarding registering your domain name or making changes to your domain record to the Domain Registrar you have selected.
