We love browsing for suits... especially Fall beauties in wool, gabardine and silk. The site is stocked with affordable vintage finds like 1920s afternoon suits, MOD dress ensembles and sexy 80s designer pants suits.

Check out some of our favorites... like the rare 1930s baby blue knit skirt and matching top, all the wool gabardine 40s suits including the red Handmaker and extraordinary Lilli Ann, the 50s tweed with 3/4 length cape trimmed in black fox and the collectible Hattie Carnegie mohair suit, the MOD knit dress ensembles with matching coats and 60s wool suits with fur collars and trim, the 70s neon green poly suit, funky leopard print pants suit and elegant Yves Saint Laurent brown paisley skirt with matching top and the sexy 80s Thierry Mugler raspberry suit and Chanel linen beauty. Don't miss the striking royal blue St. John 2-piece knit and light-weight wool Richard Tyler suits.

Vintage fashion dealers, wholesalers, retailers, costumers and enthusiasts take note! 22,000 square feet of vintage stock from the 1950s- 1980s must be sold before October 30th.

After 55 years in business, Birke's Department Store, Lowell, Mass. is closing and four floors of dead stock (old, but brand new, never worn, still with tags) clothing is being sold. Almost everything will be priced at $1, $2 and $3. You'll find Calvin Klein jeans and lots of Harris Tweed sport coats, bright polyester bellbottoms and amazing long quilted skirts, blouses, dresses, coats, hundreds of children's shorts, bathing suits and children's snowsuits -- four industrial size floors filled with vintage finds like blouses still marked at 79 cents, maternity clothes with Dr. Spock's name and message on the label and clothes with hang-tags showing a smiling mom in high-heels.

The store will close forever on October 31st and the Birke's daughter Szifra (pronounced Shifra) is accepting wholesale appointments on Wednesdays and Sundays (other days can be arranged if necessary.)
