Shopper's Alert - Little Black Dress

Hello Fashion Diggers...

60's Pleated Black Cocktail Dress at Divine FindsStylish gals always have a little black dress ready for any occasion...parties, cocktails, dinner or dates (first or last)... so we scoured the site for little numbers that are big on style! From chic shifts to sexy shirtwaists and saucy wiggle dresses here are some of our current LBD favorites:

We found chic Audrey-style sleeveless shifts, MOD A-line shapes with empire waists, ladylike knits with rhinestone trim, 50s bombshell wiggle dresses, funky 80s draped numbers and a sophisticated 40s bias cut cocktail dress worthy of Joan. Designer beauties include an I Love Lucy black lace dress by Peggy Hunt, a 70s gypsy-style crepe de chine by Dior, a sexy 80s sleeveless shirtwaist by Thierry Mugler and a Pamela Dennis beaded halter. Dress your LBD up or down with Stuart Weitzman mules, A. Phister rhinestone pumps, 50s marcasite needle-toe heels, Andrew Geller black alligator pumps or sleek Gucci boots. Funk up the dress with the Anne Klein couture black lace thigh-high stockings with attached nude pumps!

Danielle's vast collection of vintage clothes and accessories is housed in her remodeled 600 sq. foot attic. She digs for finds at estate sales and auctions in her Western New York neighborhood and says that her favorite vintage pieces are "usually the ones that don't fit me!" We know that the pretty Suzy Perette floral dress, classic Bill Blass checkered wool outfit and MOD orange wool coat will fit many stylish women. Of course the black sequined evening clutch by Norman Norell is a one-size-fits-all chic accessory!

 Ask Janet
Ask JanetQuestion Kathy: I have just bought two vintage sweaters with heavy beading on them. I don't trust our dry cleaners around the area, what do I do? They are mixes of angora and cashmere. How do I care for these beautiful works of art?
