| Description: The romance of the 30's is captured in this rayon wrap around robe that could also be worn as a wrap around dress. Two textile designs juxtapose each other to coordinate yet contrast at the same time. The first textile uses geometric elements of the Art Deco Movement, paisleys and florals to create a complex textile that flows from the back of the robe to create a piece of wearable art and forms the V design for the front of the robe. The side front panels have been influenced by the Art Noveau Period with its display of fluttering butterflies and floral clusters. The front, side and back panels have been designed to flow in a gentle manner and accent ones figure. The belt for the robe is attached to the two sides. One side has an opening for the belt to slide through. It is in excellent condition and a rare find. |
