| Description: Simple elegance is what this 30's brown velvet dress duster is all about. This would work well as a lightweight jacket for an outfit as well. The collar is trimmed in brown crepe which makes an interesting contrast to the velvet and plays on the clean,crisp lines of the Art Deco Period. The coat is fully lined and creates a column style silhouette. The price of this vintage piece reflects the condition. It was given the rating of fair for the following reasons: In the lining, there are stains in the armpits, and the area by the bottom of the hem has a water stain. The lining also has a few small brown spots in it. There is a small hole in the velvet which is found 8 inches from the hem. The piece could easily be cut shorter and hemmed or used as is. I have attached photos for viewing the condition problems. |
