Inquire About This Item
Shop Name: Orlando Vintage
Circa: 1940s
Description: This is certainly not just another black dress. There is a quite unique feature on this 1940s B. Altman garment for back in the day Saks Fifth Ave! Each button is a prong-set colored rhinestone of rectangular shape. Each rhinestone's buttonhole matches its color. A nifty catch! This is also true for the cuffs of the long sleeves, with a green one on the left cuff and a magenta one on the right. The dress is a durable poly material and comes with a belt, which also has a magenta rhinestone in the center of the belt, which falls on the small of the back when worn with the dress. It appears that the very last button at the bottom of the dress is missing, as there is a purple colored button hole without its partner. There are three pleats at the waistline that affect both the skirt and the top. The back of the skirt has two pairs of darts on each side. The skirt also has slit pockets. A tag on the neck reads 'made in California expressly for B. Altman & Co, Saks fifth Ave. New York'.
Measurements:  Bust: 38''...Waist: 29''...Hips: 38''. Sleeve length 25''. Full length 44''.
