Shop Name: Orlando Vintage
Circa: 1950s
Description: This bag holds value on many levels - the craft, the artistry, the quality, the condition....we could go on and on. Starting with the frame, the Celtic interlacing of the star-shaped tab draws you to its center. It is flanked by a lavish gold frame with engraved grooves creating arrow shapes toward the center, that have mercury-colored diamond cut glass beads. Upon close inspection, there are three beads missing, but can be replaced. The steel bead tapestry is also quite lavish. Bronze, silver, marigold, and copper beads decorate the remarkably detailed geometric tapestry which is linear at the top, and works into a series of diamond shapes with abstract floral designs. There is a tube-shaped beaded handle to hold the bag by. The tab unlocks and lifts up to open the bag. The inside is olive brown satin with two pockets, and a label that says ''Hand Made in France.'' The tab locks in place when you give it a good push. A very sturdy feature. This is an exceptionally collectible bag too
